Summary:
The Heavy Duty Forklift Operators operate very large high-capacity industrial forklifts used throughout the steel yard.
The lifting capacity is much higher than a warehouse forklift between 30,000 - 125,000-pound loads.
The loads consist of industrial steel pieces such as I-beams, columns, trusses, etc.
Having a background with a CDL would be helpful.
Other than communication with co-workers, this position also requires interaction with outside freight brokers.
Employees must be able to occasionally lift material weighing as much as 75lbs.
First shift operates Monday - Thursday 10 hours (either 5am-3:
30pm, 6am-4:
30pm or 7am-5:
30pm), half days mandatory on Friday (full day optional), no Saturdays or Sundays.
