Summary:
Performs a variety of fabrication duties including, but not limited to operating fabrication machines and using these machines in a safe and effective manner while maintaining high quality standards.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Adds value to customer products by punching holes, bending, milling, cutting, forming, welding, and assembling processes.
Operate different computer numerical control (CNC) and manual fabrication machines including punch press, milling machine, saws, and secondary equipment as needed to produce material according to customer's orders.
Ensures proper maintenance is done on equipment and performs the operator maintenance that is within their job responsibilities and qualifications/training.
Follow production schedules and direction from lead and supervisor.
Ensure all quality procedures and processes are being followed and complete.
To include necessary quality assurance paperwork and records time spent on each job in specified computer system, verifying counts are accurate.
Notifies department lead or supervisor of any issues that arise that would prevent completion of job or delay in deadline.
Can locate, read, comprehend and execute proper work instructions.
Operates small hand tools and measuring equipment including, but not limited to wrenches, screwdrivers, saws, drills, air tools, gage tables, tape measure, micrometers, and calipers.
Ensures work areas are accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic by maintaining a clean work area at all times.
Establishes efficient work flow based on product and task.
Efficiently uses fabrication supplies and notifies the correct person when supplies run low.
Properly wears required Personal Protective Equipment.
Desired Minimum
Qualifications:
Knowledge of machine operating procedures normally acquired through a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar position.
Must have basic computer entry skills.
Understands fabrication and process prints, including but not limited to blueprints and tolerances.
Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
Ability to read, count and accurately measure is required.
Must be able read gauge tables, tape measure, calipers or other assigned measuring tools.
Ability to work in a team or independently.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
